Would you like to be the person at the baby shower who gives the unique gift, no one else ever thought of? The one gift that leaves the new mother thinking why I would need these things, will thank you after a few months for the clever objects.
Here is a list of a few things you could make a basket out of or a little goody bag to go with another practical gift:
- Electrical helper outlet safety caps – New Mom is not thinking of a small child crawling around or a toddler trying to stick their little fingers in the electric sockets. Later she will thank you.
- Cupboard safety locks – The new baby is growing up now and reaches for the under-the-sink cupboard full of cleaning products. She can go to the gift basket from you and take care of that problem right now and no emergencies trip to the hospital.
- Tub nozzle cover – This is so the small child is not burned from hot water or hit their head on them and maybe have to have stitches.
- Bathtub toy net – Where to go with all the plastic boats, rubber ducks, or small animals they play with in the bathtub. Another gift not thought of by the new mom.
- Snowsuit – If baby is born in the fall, they will need a snowsuit come winter. This will be a practical gift to grow into.
- Blanket cover for the car seat – Keeps baby warm on cold days or nights of traveling.
- Swim suit – If baby is born in the spring, this will be great gift to give for the summer days ahead.
